Why not?

I've dropped off on blogging since I switched over to this website, though I've put up more information. I miss blogging--oh, hey, I think I've been doing it for two decades?!--and since I gave up the pressure of "being visible" or "building my platform", I've enjoyed it more. So, why not?

My niece and nephew have a birthday today. Hurray! Seeing them tonight, and I might be making cupcakes for the allergic among us. Definitely have to get a present for them. This would usually be fine, but the low-level virus I have is making it less so. Also stressing because the sweater I knit for one of my daughters isn't quite dry--the virus delayed a couple of things--and I see one more thing I need to fix. But it is fixable.

A little sad that I can't workout today (but maybe I could squeeze in a couch workout?). This also seems like the universe telling me to slow down, in more ways than one; on Sunday, I made out a list of all of my action items, and by Monday, I had gotten to over half of them before I passed out and took a nap. I thought it was a sugar crash--even though the sugar was one third of a banana--but the nap should have been a clue.

If I were feeling better, I'd be going over my Korean lessons in Mango and taking a look at the sewing instructions from the book I copied on Monday. (If I could have bought the book, I would have. All of that copying was a pain in the ass.)

Let us contemplate the importance of checking in with our desires when we can't do anything else.

Is it time for another nap?
