Who Is Deb in the City?

My name is Deb Nam-Krane. I'm a member of Gen X, so I've worn a lot of different hats, including application developer, project manager, mind body fitness instructor, indie author, organizer, master urban gardener, homeschooler, mom, wife, and citizen of the world. I love things you'd expect me to love--reading, writing, cooking, exercising--and maybe a few you wouldn't (I know more about soap operas than a lot of other people, and I pretty much exclusively watch South Korean entertainment--check out AsianWiki.com, the best site for information on Korean Movies and Television). I've also forgotten more about astrology than most people ever knew.

I realized recently that aside from cooking I'm not really a "Maker", but I'm okay with that. I like to keep things simple and tidy--I felt a wash of relief when I read Marie Kondo's first book--but I'm slowly making peace with the fact that life itself is much messier than my ideal space. I finished drafting a speculative fiction saga, and I'm waiting a few months before I get back in to edit. In the meantime, still sheparding my youngest through college.

Here's a version of my resume (I'm not on LinkedIn, so this is the only place on the internet you'll find it).
