Maybe.
Found myself running errands this morning that I can't put off. The one other day that I can do something is tomorrow, but since it will be even hotter, best to get at the bulk of what I need done today.
Unfortunately, Boston is sleepier than I am, and I found myself downtown with ninety minutes to kill before any of the stores I needed opened. I got myself a cold drink (which took me much longer to nurse than usual) and hit all three stores before I found what I needed at the one furthest away. Trekked uptown after that, and took my sweet time--between the increasing heat any my recovering ankle, that was the prudent thing to do.
I'm alarmed by how overheated I got. It hadn't quite hit 90 degrees, but by the time I got indoors, my heartrate was elevated and I was hot to the touch. Worse, I felt weak. Two hours later, even after the worst of it, my stomach hurt and I felt dizzy. Not good.
I feel better now, but I'm worried. Tomorrow is going to be hotter, and we're on our third or fourth heatwave of the summer. This isn't sustainable, and I don't know what we're all supposed to do.
Here's hoping tomorrow isn't too awful.
